Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 Professional is the latest, fully 64-bit version of the integrated development environment (IDE) designed for professional developers and small teams. Visual Studio provides comprehensive tools for building modern applications for Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and cloud platforms. With features such as automatic code completion, CodeLens, Hot Reload, and integration with Azure and GitHub, Visual Studio 2022 ensures higher productivity and greater working comfort.
Next-generation 64-bit IDE with .NET 8, GitHub Copilot Ready, and native ARM64 support
Visual Studio 2022 Professional is Microsoft’s first fully 64-bit IDE, removing the 4 GB memory limit and allowing you to open large solutions with 1000+ projects without slowdown. It supports .NET 8, C# 12, .NET MAUI for cross-platform mobile development, Blazor, and the latest frameworks. Hot Reload for C#, C++, and XAML lets you modify code while the application is running. Native ARM64 support, enhanced IntelliCode, and full readiness for GitHub Copilot AI make it a future-ready environment. This is a perpetual license with a one-time purchase and no subscription.
The first fully 64-bit Visual Studio, designed to use virtually unlimited RAM. Open massive solutions with hundreds of projects, thousands of files, and millions of lines of code without OutOfMemoryException errors. Enjoy significantly faster loading, building, and searching in large codebases.
Edit C#, C++, XAML, and Razor code while your application is running, without restarting and without losing state. Changes are compiled and applied in milliseconds. Works with .NET MAUI, WPF, WinForms, ASP.NET Core, and Blazor. It dramatically shortens the edit-build-debug cycle for UI development.
Enhanced IntelliCode with whole-line completions lets AI predict full lines of code, not just the next word. Fully ready for GitHub Copilot (subscription sold separately), including AI chat, inline suggestions, and code explanations directly inside the editor. IntelliCode also suggests refactorings and detects repetitive coding patterns.
Build native applications for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS from a single codebase using C# and XAML. .NET MAUI (Multi-platform App UI) is the successor to Xamarin.Forms, offering a modern architecture, faster rendering, and native controls. Hot Reload for XAML and C# speeds up UI development.
Use action breakpoints for logging without stopping execution, Force Run to Cursor to skip breakpoints, and Temporary Breakpoints for one-time stops. External Sources Debugging lets you step into NuGet package code and framework libraries. Thread-by-thread profiling and the Thread Window help visualize deadlocks and improve diagnostics.
Develop with Blazor Server and WebAssembly, ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs, and React, Angular, or Vue.js with full IntelliSense support. Includes CSS Hot Reload, JavaScript debugging with Source Maps, and Swagger/OpenAPI integration for API development. Container Tools support Docker Compose and Kubernetes, while one-click publishing to Azure streamlines deployment.
Full support for C++20 and preview C++23 standards. Native CMake support with folder-based projects, plus LLVM/Clang toolset, AddressSanitizer, Code Analysis, and the vcpkg package manager. Cross-compilation for Linux, Android, and embedded targets is included, along with remote debugging for Linux and WSL2.
Improved Git integration with Multi-Repo support lets you work with multiple repositories inside one solution. Features include line staging, interactive rebase, cherry-pick, and branch comparison. Review GitHub and Azure DevOps pull requests directly inside the IDE.
Licensier offers Visual Studio 2022 Professional as a perpetual license at wholesale-level pricing, significantly lower than an annual subscription. A one-time purchase with no monthly fees is the optimal solution for developers and businesses that prefer a CAPEX model over OPEX.
VS 2022 is currently Microsoft’s latest IDE, featuring 64-bit architecture, .NET 8, Hot Reload, and AI readiness with GitHub Copilot. It is ideal for new projects and migrations from older versions. Our team will assist with activation and configuration, and we guarantee an original license key with a VAT invoice.

Community is free, but its license limits business use to a maximum of 5 users in organizations with more than 250 PCs or over $1M in annual revenue. Professional has no such licensing restrictions. In addition, Professional includes CodeLens, advanced debugging tools, Code Map, and support for Azure DevOps deployments. For companies, Professional is the safe and compliant choice.

VS 2019 and earlier versions are 32-bit applications with a memory limit of around 4 GB. With large solutions containing 100+ projects, the IDE could slow down or crash. As a 64-bit application, VS 2022 can use all available RAM and opens huge solutions smoothly. Building, IntelliSense, and searching are significantly faster on large codebases.
Yes. VS 2022 is fully backward compatible with projects from VS 2019 and earlier. .sln and .csproj files open without conversion. You can also have VS 2019 and VS 2022 installed side by side. .NET Framework 4.x, .NET Core, and .NET 5 projects work in VS 2022 without changes.
No. GitHub Copilot requires a separate subscription (€10/month for Individual or €19/month for Business). The VS 2022 Professional license includes the IDE and all built-in tools, but Copilot is an additional AI service. VS 2022 is Copilot Ready, which means the integration is built in, but the Copilot subscription is separate.
Yes. VS 2022 includes a native ARM64 version that runs natively on devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, including Surface Pro X/9, as well as Microsoft SQ chips. You get full performance without x64 emulation. .NET MAUI, .NET 8, and most workloads run natively on ARM64.
Hot Reload allows you to modify C#, C++, XAML, or Razor code while the application is running and see the results instantly, without restarting and without losing state. Update logic in an ASP.NET controller and the changes apply immediately. Modify XAML in .NET MAUI and the UI refreshes in seconds. It dramatically speeds up the development cycle.
VS 2022 supports .NET Framework 4.6.2-4.8.1, .NET Core 3.1, .NET 5/6/7/8, and future versions through updates. It also supports .NET MAUI for cross-platform mobile and desktop apps, Blazor Server/WASM, ASP.NET Core, WPF, WinForms, WinUI 3, and legacy Xamarin. For older .NET Framework projects, VS 2022 remains fully compatible.
Most extensions from VS 2019 are compatible with VS 2022, but they may require updates from the author because of the move from 32-bit to 64-bit. Popular extensions such as ReSharper, NCrunch, and OzCode already have VS 2022 versions. Check compatibility in Visual Studio Marketplace before migrating. Some older extensions may no longer be available.
A Visual Studio Professional subscription costs around €45/month, approximately €540/year. A perpetual license from Licensier is a one-time cost and often pays for itself within a few months. The perpetual license does not include future major VS releases (2024+), but you can use VS 2022 indefinitely. A subscription gives you the latest version at all times plus Azure DevOps credits.
